At labor of love, we are trained and experienced labor and delivery and postpartum nurses who have a passion for more. After being asked “can we take you home with us?!” countless times by patients, we realized we actually could go home in a doula capacity, continuing to provide the emotional and physical support to new parents and their babies. So, now we do, and we love it. We started off providing in home postpartum care to many families in our local area, making sure new parents get as much well deserved sleep as possible, assisting with feeding (however you choose to), being your reassurance that you are indeed doing a great job, and helping with some light housekeeping, if desired, too. While we do provide daytime hours, most families are looking for overnight care, which we are more than happy to provide.
At this time, we have no minimum nights/shifts needed to book. Looking for one night of extra help? You got it. Looking for steady 2-3 nights a week for a certain amount of time? Sure! Want someone there the night you’re discharged from the hospital? We will do our best. Whatever your request, we will do our best to accommodate.
We do require a 4 hour day shift minimum, and 6 hour night shift minimum

**We are currently booked for all of our labor doula spots for spring/summer/early fall for 2025. We are still open for limited childbirth education. We are still open with availability for postpartum shifts**
We are expanding our services even more! Starting in spring 2025, we’re also adding in childbirth education and birth doula services as well. Our dream and goal is to be a one stop shop for all of your third and fourth trimester needs. Childbirth education provided in your own home, teaching you the ins and outs of labor and also helping you prepare- mentally, physically, even helping you get your home ready. We would talk about how you plan to feed your baby, and how we can prepare you for that. We would then be on-call for your labor and be by your side as you deliver your new baby, coaching you through your labor and recovery. Finally, we’d come for a set number of postpartum visits throughout the first few weeks. Again, most parents prefer the overnight, which we are more than happy to accommodate. Rest assured, we’d ease your transition to parenthood as much as possible.
